Miguel Hernandez and Laura Oviedo
Laura Oviedo graduated from UC Berkeley in 2000 with a major in Social Welfare and emphasis in Economics. Upon graduating, Laura started working for the Los Angeles County Employee's Retirement Association (LACERA). It was there that Laura began realizing the importance of financial literacy and preparation. In 2005 she started her new career by obtaining her life and health license, series 6, series 63, and series 26 securities licenses. Aside from helping familiies with their financial goals, Laura also has experience as a Branch Office Supervisor and serves on the board of Hermanas Unidas, Inc.
Miguel A. Hernandez was raised in Chicago and is the father of two children. When he moved to Los Angeles, Miguel began his career as a graphic designer where he worked for different companies both as an employee and as a freelancer. He later seeked his real estate license which began his interest in the financial services industry. As a realtor, he wanted to do more than just hand over the keys to a new home owner. He wanted to expand the services he could offer them. Miguel has since obtained his life and health license, series 6, series 63, series 26 and series 65 securities licenses and has now been in the industry for 7 years. He came to Legacy with vast financial services experience, including that as a Branch Office Manager and OSJ Manager where he supervised multiple offices.
